Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your access to and use of the BlueprintPortal website, applications, project pages, collaboration tools, and related services (the “Service”) operated by BlueprintPortal (“BlueprintPortal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 16.

Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information, keep it reasonably current, and protect access to your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless it results from a failure in systems under our control. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.

You may use email/password authentication or a supported identity provider. Authentication credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication; BlueprintPortal does not receive your Google password.

Ideas, visibility, followers, and collaboration

Project owners choose whether an idea or project is public or private. Public projects and their permitted updates, profiles, and files may be viewed and shared by anyone with access to the page. Private projects are intended to be available only to accepted members, subject to the configured roles and access controls.

A person may follow a public idea without sharing an email address with its owner. If the follower separately selects “Tell me when it’s available”, their account email is provided to that project’s owner and admins for progress and availability contact about that idea. Project managers must not use it for unrelated marketing, disclose it to others, or continue contacting the person after consent is withdrawn.

You are responsible for selecting an appropriate visibility setting, reviewing membership, and avoiding publication of confidential, personal, regulated, or commercially sensitive material to a public project.

Your content and licence

You retain ownership of content you submit, including project descriptions, updates, comments, images, and files (“User Content”). You grant BlueprintPortal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, technically adapt, transmit, and display that content only as reasonably required to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service according to your selected visibility and sharing settings.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and permit this use. The licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for reasonable backup, security, legal, and technical retention.

Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

• break the law, infringe intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights;
• upload malicious code, probe security, bypass access controls, scrape restricted information, or disrupt the Service;
• impersonate others, mislead people about a project, or engage in fraud;
• harass, threaten, exploit, or publish hateful, abusive, sexually exploitative, or unlawfully discriminatory content;
• send spam or use invitation features for unsolicited bulk messaging; or
• upload information you are not authorised to disclose.

We may investigate reports and remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or preserve the Service.

BlueprintPortal and third-party rights

The Service, brand, software, design, and platform content—excluding User Content—are owned by or licensed to BlueprintPortal. These Terms do not transfer those rights to you. Any third-party software, services, or content may also be subject to its provider’s terms.

If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us with the page, the work or right concerned, your authority to act, and enough detail for us to assess the report.

Confidentiality and NDA-aware access

BlueprintPortal can record that a project member has confirmed completion of an NDA step. That feature is an access-control aid only. BlueprintPortal does not provide legal advice, supply a standard NDA, witness signatures, verify authority, or guarantee that an agreement is valid or enforceable. Project participants are responsible for arranging and retaining any legal agreement they require.

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide ideas about improving BlueprintPortal, you allow us to use that feedback without restriction or payment. This does not give us ownership of your project ideas or other User Content.

Service changes and availability

We may change or discontinue features as the Service develops. We aim to provide a reliable service, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Beta and preview features may change more frequently. You should keep independent copies of material that is important to you.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have materially breached these Terms, created risk or harm, or if required by law. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Consumer rights and liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a right, guarantee, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the extent permitted by law, BlueprintPortal is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or decisions made in reliance on User Content or another user’s project. User Content is supplied by users and is not endorsed or independently verified by BlueprintPortal. Any permitted limitation is applied only to the extent reasonable and lawful in the circumstances.

Concerns, disputes, and governing law

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Australia. You and BlueprintPortal submit to the courts having jurisdiction there, subject to any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere under applicable consumer law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. We will update the date and version above and give reasonable notice of material changes, such as through the Service or by email. Where required, we will ask you to accept updated Terms before continuing to use relevant features.
